Is Anchor Right for You?
A short, honest checklist to see whether Anchor fits your estate today.
Anchor is a strong fit when
Section titled “Anchor is a strong fit when”- Your privileged accounts live mostly on Linux, Windows, Active Directory and PostgreSQL.
- You want to run the platform yourself, on-premises or in your own cloud account, rather than send credentials to a hosted service.
- You need passwords changed on a schedule and proven to work, not just stored.
- People should use accounts without seeing passwords, from a browser.
- Auditors ask who did what, when and why, and you would rather answer from records than spreadsheets.
- You value a small, understandable footprint: one host to start, more when you need them.
Talk with us first if
Section titled “Talk with us first if”- You need to manage systems beyond those above, such as network devices or other databases. Stored credentials cover safekeeping today.
- Your process requires approval before a session or password check-out.
- You need a certified product rather than one designed to support your controls.
- You want a hosted service run by someone else.
None of these is a dead end: tell us about your estate and we will be straight about what fits today.
What we will ask you
Section titled “What we will ask you”- Roughly how many privileged accounts, on which systems?
- One host, or separation across network zones?
- Which directory your people sign in with.
- What your auditors ask for today.
