Anchor runs on Linux hosts you control, on one host or with each part on its own host, on-premises or in your cloud.
Choose your starting point

The simplest way to run Anchor, from evaluation through production. Each role still runs as its own service with its own identity, and the links between them are protected even on one host.

Anchor installs on hosts you control, in your data center or your cloud account; it does not provision cloud databases for you. Talk with us about your provider and network so we can confirm the fit for your release.

What installation looks like
Section titled “What installation looks like”- One signed installer. You verify its signature, preview the plan without changing anything, then install with one command. A Standard installation takes about 20 minutes.
- Packages if you prefer. The same release is published as signed apt and dnf packages, and as an offline bundle for networks without internet access.
- No default passwords. The first administrator is created with a one-time setup token, and chooses their own password and second factor.
Growing with you
Section titled “Growing with you”Add a second Core, more Engine or Connect capacity, or a disaster-recovery
copy of each database, from the console, with a one-time join code per host.
Upgrades roll out a new signed release host by host, started from the console
or the anchor command line.
